Healthy You - Lifestyle & Wellness
Through this group education program, patients who want to lose weight (to prevent health issues or to help manage current conditions) will increase their knowledge and enhance their skills with their diet and physical activity goals to help make positive changes for optimal health and wellness. Topics include: achieving a healthy weight, proper eating habits, getting adequate nutrients to meet daily needs (including sodium, fat, fibre, and carbohydrates), how to incorporate physical activity into your routine and how lifestyle changes can prevent various chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and cancer as well as helping to manage existing conditions and improve quality of life.
Class is lead by the Dietitian and Nurse Educator. One-on-one follow up appointments are available as needed.
