Healthy You – Lifestyle & Wellness

Through this group education program, patients who want to learn how to eat healthy to promote day-to-day wellness (as a way to prevent health issues or to help manage current conditions) or to lose weight, will increase their knowledge and enhance their skills with their diet and physical activity goals to help make positive changes for optimal health and wellness. Along with a monthly theme, each class includes:  achieving a healthy weight, proper eating habits, getting adequate nutrients to meet daily needs, how to incorporate physical activity into your routine and how lifestyle changes can prevent various chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and cancer as well as helping to manage existing conditions and improve quality of life. Behaviour modification strategies are incorporated throughout the sessions.

Class is lead by the Registered Dietitian and the Diabetes Nurse Educator. One-on-one follow-up appointments are available as needed.
